Veterans Compass: Navigating Your Iowa State Adventure

Veterans Compass is a special informational briefing focused specifically on the Veteran and military-affiliated student experience. Attendance at one of the sessions is not required, but is highly encouraged if you are a Veteran, military personnel, or military family member enrolling for the first time at Iowa State University. Please help us plan by letting us know you will be there.

Veterans Compass sessions for the Spring 2018 Semester will be on Tuesday, Jan 16, 2018 at

  • Afternoon Session: Noon to 1:30pm Pioneer Room, Memorial Union
  • Evening Session: 4:30pm to 6:00pm Pioneer Room, Memorial Union

What to Expect

  • Military education benefits
  • How benefits impact your financial aid eligibility
  • Receiving military credit
  • Resources and support services available
  • ISU Student Veterans Association
  • Ways to get involved and find other military students
  • University policies and procedures for registration, academic progress, etc.
  • Veterans community at Iowa State
