The MASC would like to offer and encourage incoming students an opportunity to earn a $250 scholarship, while building relationships and a sense of community on campus. Upon completion of attending 5 different events that the MASC offers, students can earn this scholarship while meeting friendly faces.
Cyclone MVP (Mentoring Veterans Programs)
MVP is a peer mentoring program for veterans attending Iowa State University. It is administered by the Military-Affiliated Student Center and gives students a chance to learn about what is happening on and off campus.
Purpose
To provide a supportive environment for incoming student veterans in order to ease their transition from military to civilian and/or academic life.
How it Works
Returning student veterans (mentors) are matched with incomes students (mentees) who could benefit from having a guide, coach, resource person or friendly face during their first year at Iowa State.
Mentor Requirements
- Passion to contribute to another's development and wanting to help
- Enrolled at Iowa State and successfully completed at least 1 academic year
- Student Veteran or Military Service Member
- GPA 3.0+
Mentee Requirements
- Enrolled at Iowa State as a student
- Student Veteran or Military Service Member
- Meet with Mentor

Who can be a Mentor or Mentee?
